"First in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen" - Henry Lee

This page has been created in order to argue for a new memorial for America's first President, George Washington in the town of Jay, ME. Through these pages, I hope to be able to convince you that not only was Washington a great President, but also that he deserves to be memorialized in our town. Washington's leadership abilities during the Revolution established him as one of the father's of America, and he only furthered that legacy while in office. He is undoubtedly deserving of memorialization.
